Thanks to the priceless guidance from Gaia, I am very pleased with my new shoes and the buying experience. The quality, comfort and stability of the Tangolera Asti far, far exceeds that of any of my similarly priced Argentine tango shoes. I’m purging my closet to make room for more shoes from Axis! The 70mm heel is so stable and comfortable that it’s easy to forget that I’m wearing heels. The leather is soft and shapes to your foot. Nicely padded but doesn’t impair “floor feel”. The color is listed as wine, but it’s more of a rose’, or crushed berry. Defies description but it’s lovely and remarkably neutral. Yes, they do take a long time to arrive, but quality takes time. Plan accordingly.
